Ecuador Net Salary Calculator
Ecuador · EmploymentCalculate your net salary (payroll record) in Ecuador: deduct the 9.45% personal IESS contribution and, if it applies, the estimated income tax. The 11.15% employer contribution is paid by your employer and isn't deducted from your salary.
How is it calculated?
Net salary = taxable compensation − personal IESS contribution − income tax − other deductions. Taxable compensation is the salary plus other compensation subject to contribution. Personal IESS contribution: 9.45% of taxable compensation (the 11.15% employer share is paid by the employer and isn't deducted from the worker). Estimated income tax (automatic mode): the year's taxed income is projected (compensation × 12), the year's personal IESS contribution is subtracted, the SRI's table for individuals is applied (0% up to 12,208; then 5%, 10%, 12%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, and 37% by bracket), the personal-expenses deduction is subtracted if you know its amount, and the result is divided by 12. With a low salary under the basic fraction, no tax is withheld. The approximate biweekly net is half the monthly net. This doesn't include bonuses, reserve funds, or profit-sharing. This is a rough estimate, not your official payroll record.
Examples

IESS 141.75 and estimated income tax 20.17 a month. Net salary: 1,338.08 (approximate biweekly 669.04).
What's deducted in the payroll record
With a salary of 1,000: IESS contribution 94.50 and net of 905.50 (452.75 biweekly). The employer contribution is paid by the employer and isn't deducted. Figures are illustrative.
Besides your salary, you receive the thirteenth-month bonus, the fourteenth-month bonus, and, after the first year, reserve funds; profit-sharing depends on your company. If you work overtime, calculate its pay with supplementary and extraordinary hours. The tax is explained in the individual income tax calculator.
