Compare CSV & Excel Files
Upload two CSV or Excel files and compare them: new, removed, modified and unchanged rows. Choose a key column (like an ID, SKU or email) to compare record by record, or compare full rows if you don't have one.
What it does
It compares two tables (file A and file B) and sorts each row into four groups: added (in B but not in A), removed (in A but not in B), modified (exist in both but some value changed) and unchanged. To know which row of A is "the same" as a row of B, a key column is used — id, SKU, email, reference or code, whatever uniquely identifies each record in your case.
Comparing by key column or by full row
With a key column (SKU, say), two rows are considered "the same" if they share the same value in that column, even if every other column changes — that's how modifications are detected. Without a key column, the comparison is by full row: a row that changes by even one character counts as removed from A and added in B, not as "modified", because there's no way to know it's "the same row with a change" without a key.
Column order doesn't matter
If file B has the same columns as A but in a different order (common between exports from different systems), the comparison aligns them by header name, not by position — so no false changes appear just because a column moved.
