Peru Bonus (Gratificación) Calculator

Peru · Employment

Calculate your July bonus (Fiestas Patrias) or December bonus (Navidad) in Peru, including the extraordinary bonus of 9% (EsSalud) or 6.75% (EPS). If you didn't work the full semester, it's calculated by full calendar months.

Gross monthly base compensation, before deductions.

Si la recibes, se suma a la remuneración computable (S/ 113 con la RMV de S/ 1 130).

Comisiones, bonos habituales u horas extra: promedio mensual de los últimos 6 meses.

Leave empty if you worked the full semester.

Only if you stopped working within the semester.

If set (1 to 6), it replaces the date-based calculation. 0 = calculate by dates.

How is it calculated?

Bonus = one computable compensation per full semester (January–June for the July bonus, July–December for the December bonus). If you worked less, you get 1/6 of the computable compensation for each full calendar month worked in the semester. Computable compensation includes base compensation, the family allowance, and the average of regular variable payments. The extraordinary bonus is added on top: 9% if you're enrolled in EsSalud, or 6.75% if your employer covers you with an EPS (Law 30334, permanent). It's paid by July 15 and December 15. This calculation applies to the general private labor regime; microenterprises don't have this benefit and small businesses receive half. This is a rough estimate, not an official calculation.

Examples

  • July 2026: compensation of 3,000, full semester with EsSalud

Bonus of 3,000 plus the 9% extraordinary bonus (270). Total: 3,270.

  • December 2026: hired on 09/10/2026, compensation of 3,000, with EPS

3 full months (October to December): bonus of 1,500 plus the 6.75% bonus (101.25). Total: 1,601.25.

How much is the July and December bonus

With the full semester worked, the bonus equals one computable compensation; the extraordinary bonus of 9% (EsSalud) or 6.75% (EPS) is added on top. If you didn't complete the semester, you get 1/6 for each full calendar month.

How it's calculated if you only worked some months

Only full calendar months count: if you started on September 10, the first month that counts is October. Each full month gives a sixth of the bonus.

Calculation example

Full semester (July) with compensation of 3,000 and EsSalud: bonus of 3,000 plus a bonus add-on of 270, total 3,270.

Hired on September 10, compensation of 3,000 and EPS: 3 months count (October to December), the bonus is 1,500 and the add-on is 101.25. Total: 1,601.25. Figures are illustrative.

What else you're owed

A sixth of your last ordinary bonus counts toward the compensation used to calculate CTS. If you leave your job, the prorated bonus is included in the social benefits final settlement.
