How to shuffle a list
Type or paste your list (one item per line), click "Shuffle", and get the same content in a new random order. You can shuffle again as many times as you like.
Use cases
A few common examples:
- Randomize the order of exam or survey questions.
- Decide the turn order of a list of participants.
- Shuffle a playlist or a task list to break the routine.
- Any list where the original order shouldn't influence the outcome.
How is the list shuffled?
With a Fisher-Yates shuffle (the standard unbiased shuffling method) using the browser's cryptographically secure randomness source — every possible order of the list has an equal chance of coming up.
Privacy
The list you type and the shuffled result never leave your browser: they're not sent to Numelto, not logged, and not stored anywhere.
