Spain Vacation Days Calculator
Spain · EmploymentCalculate how many vacation days you've accrued, how many are left, and how many you've already used, based on your agreed annual days (Spain's legal minimum: 30 calendar days) and how long you've worked.
How is it calculated?
Days accrued = agreed annual days × (days elapsed in the period ÷ days in the year). If you work the full year, you accrue all your agreed days; if you work only part of it, they accrue proportionally. Days remaining = days accrued − days already used. Spain's Workers' Statute (art. 38.1) sets a minimum of 30 calendar days a year — your collective agreement or contract can improve on this (some agreements express it in working days, usually 22, instead of calendar days).
Examples
30 days/year, January 1 to June 30, 5 already used
181 days elapsed → 14.88 days accrued − 5 used = 9.88 days remaining.
Full year: 30 days/year, 20 already used
365 days elapsed → 30 days accrued − 20 used = 10 days remaining.
Agreement in working days (22/year), March to August
184 days elapsed → 11.09 working days accrued.
Calendar days vs. working days
Spain's Workers' Statute sets the minimum at 30 calendar days a year — roughly equivalent to 22 working days (subtracting weekends). Some collective agreements are set directly in working days; check yours to know which figure to enter as "agreed annual days".
