Colombia Transportation Allowance Calculator
Colombia · EmploymentCalculate the transportation allowance you're owed in Colombia based on your salary and the days you worked in the month. In 2026 it's 249,095 a month for anyone earning up to 2 minimum wages who meets the conditions.
How is it calculated?
The 2026 transportation allowance is 249,095 a month (Decree 1470 of 2025). As a general rule it's received by anyone earning up to 2 SMLMV (with the minimum wage of 1,750,905, that's up to 3,501,810). If you work the full month it's paid in full; if you work fewer days, it's prorated: 249,095 × days worked ÷ 30. It doesn't count as salary, but it is included in the base for severance pay (cesantías) and the service bonus (prima); it's not included in vacation pay or the ordinary social security contribution base. There are situations where it may not apply, for example if you work remotely or from home, or if your employer provides transportation: in that case choose "Doesn't apply to me".
