Colombia Overtime and Premiums Calculator
Colombia · EmploymentCalculate how much you're owed for overtime, night work, and work on Sundays or holidays in Colombia, under the rules in effect after the labor reform (Law 2466 of 2025). Shows your ordinary hourly rate and each premium separately.
How is it calculated?
Ordinary hourly rate = monthly salary ÷ monthly hours. That divisor comes from the maximum legal workweek: weekly hours × 5 (at 44 hours, 220; at 42 hours starting July 15, 2026, 210). Premiums: ordinary night premium 35% (night work runs from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.), daytime overtime 25%, and night overtime 75%. Work on a Sunday or holiday (a mandatory rest day) carries a premium that rises in stages: 80% from July 1, 2025, and 90% from July 1, 2026. For ordinary hours, only the premium is paid, because the base hour is already in your salary; overtime is paid in full (hour + premium). Night and overtime premiums don't stack with each other, but the Sunday/holiday premium does add on top of them. The calculator uses the date the hours were worked to apply that day's workweek and premium rules.
