Argentina Vacation Calculator
Argentina · EmploymentCalculate how many vacation days you're owed in Argentina based on your seniority and how much each day is paid: for a monthly salary, the vacation day's value is the salary divided by 25, not 30. Uses the current text of the Employment Contract Law after Law 27,802.
How is it calculated?
Vacation days (Art. 150 LCT), in calendar days: 14 if seniority doesn't exceed 5 years; 21 if it exceeds 5 but not 10; 28 if it exceeds 10 but not 20; 35 if it exceeds 20. Seniority is counted as of December 31 of the year the vacation applies to. If you didn't work at least half that year (Art. 151), you're owed 1 rest day for every 20 days actually worked. For a salaried employee, the vacation day's value is salary ÷ 25 (Art. 155), while a regular workday is salary ÷ 30: dividing by 25 already includes the premium the law grants for the rest period. The estimated amount is pending days × salary ÷ 25. Law 27,802 allows splitting vacation into blocks of at least 7 days, by agreement between the parties, and makes the timing of vacation more flexible; it doesn't change the number of days by seniority. This calculator assumes a fixed monthly salary: collective agreements may provide additional days.
