What is a work report
A work report is the document a professional (technician, installer, electrician, plumber, maintenance company...) hands to the customer after finishing a job: what was done, when, with which materials and labor, and the customer's signature of acknowledgement. It's not an invoice — it may or may not include prices, depending on what you need.
Work report vs invoice, delivery note and quotation
A work report documents the service performed (with or without prices). An invoice is the fiscal document with the tax breakdown. A delivery note certifies that materials or goods were delivered, usually without prices. A quotation is a price proposal BEFORE the work is done. You can use the work report as proof of service and, if your business requires it, issue the invoice separately with your own invoicing software.
How to fill it in well
The only required fields are the customer's name and the job description — everything else (company, materials, labor, photos, signature) is optional and added only when useful. Before/after photos and the customer's signature of acknowledgement add the most value if there's ever a dispute about what was done.
