Password Strength Checker
Type a password and check its strength in real time: length, character diversity, repetitions, obvious sequences, and an approximate estimate of how long it would take to crack.
What it actually analyzes
It doesn't just check for uppercase letters, numbers and symbols. It also looks at real length, how many distinct characters you use, whether you repeat the same character several times in a row, whether the password contains an obvious sequence (like "abcd" or "1234"), and whether it matches a common word or a known keyboard pattern (like "qwerty").
How the score is calculated
The score (from very weak to very strong) uses zxcvbn, an open-source password strength estimator created by Dropbox that mimics how real password-cracking tools actually reason, not just a rigid rule checklist.
About the estimated crack time
The time shown is an approximation for one specific scenario (an offline attack with slow hashing) — it's not an exact or universal figure. The real time depends entirely on how the password is stored and on the attacker's resources: a "strong" password today may not stay that way in a few years.
Privacy
Whatever password you type never leaves your browser: it's not sent to Numelto, not logged anywhere, and not stored even temporarily.
