JSON to TOML & TOML to JSON Converter
Convert between JSON and TOML in both directions, with syntax validation conforming to the TOML 1.0.0 specification.
What TOML is and what it's used for
TOML (Tom's Obvious, Minimal Language) is a configuration format designed to be read and written by a person without ambiguity — it's used by, among others, Cargo (Rust), Poetry/pyproject.toml (Python), and many command-line tools for their configuration files.
JSON → TOML
The input JSON must be an object at the top level (never an array or a bare value) — that's a requirement of the TOML spec itself, not a limitation of this tool: a TOML document is always, at its core, a table.
TOML → JSON
Converts tables ([table]), nested tables, arrays of tables ([[table]]), and TOML's native types (dates and times, integers, floats, booleans) to their JSON equivalent — TOML dates are converted to their text representation in ISO 8601 format.
