Birth Moon Phase
Find out what moon phase it was on the day you were born — a real, approximate astronomical calculation based on your date of birth.
This is an astronomical calculation, not an interpretation
The moon's phase (new, crescent, full, waning...) is calculated using a standard astronomical approximation: days elapsed since a known reference new moon, divided by the average length of the lunar cycle (~29.53 days). It's a calculable fact, not an esoteric interpretation.
Accuracy of the calculation
This method has an accuracy of roughly ±1 day — enough to know what phase the Moon was in on your birthday, but not the precision of a professional observatory or a full astronomical ephemeris.
What about the meaning of each phase?
The meaning some traditions attribute to each moon phase (full moon = culmination, new moon = beginnings...) is cultural/esoteric, not an astronomical fact — here we show only the real data (phase + illumination), never mixing the two.
