Colombia VAT Calculator
Colombia · TaxesCalculate VAT in Colombia: add VAT to a price excluding tax or break out the VAT from a price that already includes it. The general rate is 19%, but not every good or service uses it.
How is it calculated?
To add VAT to a base amount: total = base × (1 + rate ÷ 100). To extract VAT from a price that already includes it: base = total ÷ (1 + rate ÷ 100), and VAT = total − base. The general rate is 19%; there's a reduced 5% rate for certain goods and services. There are also excluded goods and services (no VAT applies) and exempt ones (0% rate with the right to a refund), plus special rules; those cases aren't solved with an automatic rate, so choose the one that fits your product or use the custom option. Results are rounded to the peso.
Examples

How to add or remove VAT
