Ecuador RIMPE Calculator
Ecuador · Self-employedCheck, as a rough guide, whether your income would fit RIMPE's Popular Business or Entrepreneur categories in Ecuador, and estimate the annual tax using the SRI's tables. Before classifying, it asks about the activities the SRI excludes from the regime.
How is it calculated?
RIMPE (Simplified Regime for Entrepreneurs and Popular Businesses) has two categories based on annual gross income. Popular Business: individuals with income up to 20,000; they pay a fixed annual fee by range: up to 2,500, 0; 2,500.01 to 5,000, 5; 5,000.01 to 10,000, 15; 10,000.01 to 15,000, 35; 15,000.01 to 20,000, 60. Entrepreneur: individuals with more than 20,000 and companies, up to 300,000; the tax is a base fee plus a percentage of the excess over the bracket's lower limit: 20,000 to 50,000, 60 + 1%; 50,000 to 75,000, 360 + 1.25%; 75,000 to 100,000, 672.50 + 1.50%; 100,000 to 200,000, 1,047.50 + 1.75%; 200,000 to 300,000, 2,797.52 + 2%. Above 300,000 you're outside the regime due to the income limit. The SRI excludes activities such as construction, professional and commission-based activities, transportation (except taxis), agriculture and livestock, fuels, employment relationships, leasing, hydrocarbons and mining, the financial sector, and others. This calculator is a rough guide: the SRI classifies and recategorizes taxpayers, so the result doesn't mean you're officially under RIMPE.
