Volume Calculator
Calculate the volume of a cube, a rectangular prism, a cylinder, a sphere, or a cone by picking the shape and its measurements.
How is it calculated?
Each shape uses its own formula: cube = side³; rectangular prism = length × width × height; cylinder = π × radius² × height; sphere = (4/3) × π × radius³; cone = (1/3) × π × radius² × height.
Examples
A cube with a 5 cm side
125 cm³.
A cylinder with radius 3 cm and height 10 cm
About 282.74 cm³.
A sphere with radius 4 cm
About 268.08 cm³.
Volume formulas by shape
| Shape | Fields | Formula |
|---|---|---|
| Cube | A = side | V = A³ |
| Rectangular prism | A = length, B = width, C = height | V = A × B × C |
| Cylinder | A = radius, B = height | V = π × A² × B |
| Sphere | A = radius | V = (4/3) × π × A³ |
| Cone | A = radius, B = height | V = (1/3) × π × A² × B |
