Spanish National Police Exam Score Calculator
Spain · MathCalculate the score for the Spanish National Police (Policía Nacional) entrance exam's knowledge test or psychotechnical test using the official scoring formula, from your correct answers, wrong answers and blanks.
How is it calculated?
The official scoring formula (bases 6.1.1 and 6.1.3.c of the entrance exam notice) is [A − E/(n−1)] × 10 / P, where A is correct answers, E is wrong answers, n is the number of answer choices per question (usually 3), and P is the total number of questions (100 in the knowledge test). Blank answers don't penalize: they're neither added nor subtracted, they just reduce how many correct answers are possible. The knowledge test has a fixed legal minimum of 3 points; the psychotechnical test has no fixed cutoff in the exam notice — it's set by the examining board, so this calculator never claims you passed it, it only calculates your score.
Examples
Knowledge test: 70 correct, 10 wrong, 20 blank
[70 − 10/2] × 10 / 100 = 6.5 points — above the fixed 3-point minimum.
Knowledge test with many wrong answers
[40 − 50/2] × 10 / 100 = 1.5 points — below the 3-point minimum.
Comparing against a reference cutoff (psychotechnical)
[60 − 8/3] × 10 / 80 = 7.17 points, above the 6-point reference.
Official scoring formula
[A − E/(n−1)] × 10 / P — A is correct answers, E is wrong answers, n is the answer choices per question, and P is the total number of questions. It's the same formula for both the knowledge test and the psychotechnical test, per the Spanish National Police entrance exam notice.
| Test | Questions (P) | Choices (n) | Minimum score |
|---|---|---|---|
| Knowledge | 100 | 3 | 3 points (fixed) |
| Psychotechnical | Per exam notice | Per exam notice | Set by the examining board |
