Mexico Integrated Daily Wage (SDI) Calculator

Mexico · Employment

What salary does IMSS use to calculate your contributions? Calculate your Integrated Daily Wage (SDI) from your salary, Christmas bonus (aguinaldo), vacation, and vacation premium — the base used to estimate your Contribution Base Salary (SBC).

15 days is the legal minimum.

Check the days you're owed based on your seniority in the vacation calculator.

25% is the legal minimum.

How is it calculated?

The Integrated Daily Wage adds to the daily salary the prorated share of aguinaldo and of vacation with vacation premium that corresponds to each day of the year: integration factor = (365 + aguinaldo days + vacation days × vacation premium %) ÷ 365. The SDI is that factor multiplied by your daily salary. This is the basic case (fixed salary + aguinaldo + vacation + vacation premium) — the real SBC can also include commissions, meals, housing, or other in-kind benefits, and the Social Security Law excludes or partially limits other items; this calculator doesn't claim to reproduce an SBC with variable earnings.

Examples

  • Daily salary of 500, minimum legal benefits

Integration factor: 1.0493. Estimated SDI: 524.66 a day.

How the integrated daily wage is obtained

The SDI is your daily salary multiplied by the integration factor: (365 + aguinaldo days + vacation days × vacation premium %) ÷ 365.

With a daily salary of 500, 15 aguinaldo days, 12 vacation days, and a 25% premium, the factor is 1.0493 and the SDI is 524.66 a day. Illustrative figures.

This is the basic case (fixed salary plus benefits). If you have commissions, meals, or other earnings, your real SBC may differ. With the SBC, calculate IMSS contributions or the cost of an employee.
