Chile Pension and Social Security Contributions Calculator
Chile · EmploymentCalculate how much is deducted from your pension and social security contributions in Chile: AFP (10% plus the management fee), health (7%), and unemployment insurance, with the 2026 taxable caps. Also shows, for information only, the employer's contributions and the pension reform.
How is it calculated?
Employee contributions: mandatory AFP 10% of taxable compensation + your AFP's management fee (Uno 0.46%, Modelo 0.58%, PlanVital 1.16%, Habitat 1.27%, Capital and Cuprum 1.44%, Provida 1.45%, in effect as of September 2026) + health 7% + unemployment insurance 0.6% if your contract is open-ended (0% for the employee on fixed-term or project contracts). AFP and health are calculated on a cap of 90 UF, and unemployment insurance on a cap of 135.2 UF (the Superintendency of Pensions' final 2026 taxable caps). Since the UF changes daily, you can enter the value you need; by default it's the UF for September 30, 2026 (SII). Employer contributions (informational, never deducted from your pay): unemployment insurance 2.4% on open-ended contracts or 3% on fixed-term, and the additional pension reform contribution (Law 21,735), which since August 1, 2026 is 3.5% of taxable compensation (0.1% to your individual account and the rest to the Autonomous Pension Protection Fund) and will keep rising gradually.
