Spin the Wheel

Type your options, spin the wheel and let chance decide — great for picking names, deciding what to eat, assigning turns, or any decision you'd rather leave to randomness.

Local processing: your data is processed in your browser and never sent to Numelto or any external service.

Everything happens in your browser — Numelto never stores your options or the result.

How to use the random wheel

Type each option on its own line, click "Spin", and wait for the wheel to stop. The result appears below the wheel. You can spin again with the same options, or remove the winner from the list and spin again to pick a second, a third...

How does the wheel decide the result?

The winner is decided BEFORE the animation starts, using crypto.getRandomValues (the same secure browser randomness source a password generator uses) — the wheel only visually represents that already-decided result, never the other way around. That means the spin is purely decorative: the result is just as random even with your eyes closed.

Use cases

A few common examples:

  • Pick who goes first in a game or task.
  • Decide what to eat, watch, or where to go when nobody can agree.
  • Fairly assign turns in class, at work, or in a group.
  • Simple giveaways among friends, family, or followers (see also the random name picker).

Privacy

The options you type and the result never leave your browser: they're not sent to Numelto, not logged, and not stored anywhere.
