HTML Formatter
Paste minified or messy HTML and format it with clean, consistent indentation, including embedded CSS and JavaScript.
What it actually does
It formats the HTML (indentation, line breaks, attribute order) and also the content of any <style> and <script> tags it finds inside, using Prettier — the same formatter thousands of real code projects use. This tool only formats text: it never executes the HTML, CSS or JavaScript you paste.
When it's useful
Handy for reviewing HTML generated by another tool or a CMS, for making a minified fragment someone sent you readable, or simply for unifying indentation style before pasting it into your editor.
Incomplete HTML or unclosed tags
The formatter is tolerant of HTML that isn't perfectly valid (unclosed tags, stray attributes): it still tries to format it instead of rejecting it outright, the same way a browser would when rendering it.
