Base64 Encode/Decode
Encode text to Base64 or decode Base64 to text, with real Unicode support (accents, emoji, non-Latin scripts).
Why Unicode support matters
The browser's native btoa/atob functions only understand one character = one byte, so a naive implementation breaks on any text with accents or emoji. This tool goes through real UTF-8 (via TextEncoder/TextDecoder) before encoding, so "Ñoño 😀" encodes and decodes without getting corrupted.
Privacy
The encoding happens in your browser. The text is never sent to Numelto.
What Base64 is used for
Remember it protects nothing: it's a format, not encryption. If you're putting the result in a URL, encode it with URL encode.
- Embedding binary data or text in JSON, URLs or headers.
- Viewing the content of a JWT or another encoded field.
- Encoding short strings to send over channels that only support text.
