How is it calculated?
Law 27/2011 gradually raised, between 2013 and 2027, the number of contributed years needed to retire at 65: if you don't reach that threshold in the year you turn 65, the ordinary retirement age rises by a few months (up to 67 under the final 2027 regime, for anyone with fewer than 38 years and 6 months contributed). This calculator uses the year you turn 65 as the reference year to pick the applicable row — the same simplification most calculators of this kind use; it doesn't replace Spain's official working-life report or the Social Security's own simulator, which accounts for your real contribution history.
